Dr. Hunter Merriman
Dr. Merriman experienced his own chiropractic miracle after becoming debilitated from a major back injury at just 19 years old. He quickly understood the power of the chiropractic adjustment, which not only lead him to commit to the chiropractic lifestyle but inspired him to become a chiropractor himself so that he could see other lives change as well.
After studying psychology at the University of Washington and graduating with honors, Dr. Merriman went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic on Florida’s Atlantic coast. He prides himself as an evidence-based practitioner and believes in educating his patients on the benefits of spinal hygiene and posture supported by scientific literature. He states that this is a very exciting time for the chiropractic profession as peer-reviewed research continues to be published by the scientific community almost daily. He has spent years studying the neurophysiological effects that spinal structure and function have on overall health and considers these the foundational principles for his care.
One of Dr. Merriman’s most distinguishing attributes is his conviction, passion, and ability to adjust the spine with his bare hands. He has worked relentlessly over the years to develop the skill necessary to delivery a phenomenal spinal adjustment and achieve the clinical results his patients deserve. His favorite quote was made by the Nobel Prize-winning brain-research scientist Dr. Roger Sperry:
“90% of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain is generated by the movement of the spine.”
